If you provide an invalid revision value as below, you can see that "snapcraft release" does not even acknowledge the command it's running: $ snapcraft release mysnap fubar Usage: snapcraft [OPTIONS] COMMAND [ARGS]... Try 'snapcraft -h' for help. Error: No such command 'release'. $
